Residence Life
Ohio Dominican’s 64-acre campus is the best of both worlds – a
beautiful, serene tree-lined residential campus just minutes from Downtown Columbus, in the
nation’s 15th largest city.
Ohio Dominican University's campus is particularly suited to Residence Life,
as charming, historic buildings mingle with modern structures. Companionable and
cozy gathering places coexist with brightly-lit computer labs so that students have
a variety of study atmospheres from which to choose. Mature shade trees arch over
walkways and benches, while green expanses provide the perfect backdrop for impromptu
sports or study in the outdoors. Meal choices vary from entrees served in the
all-you-can-eat dining hall to pizza and burgers in the Underground or a sub from
Panther Plaza.
Living on campus at Ohio Dominican University is the first step toward developing
an independent, well-rounded and meaningful life. Our residence halls provide a
unique environment where students grow emotionally, intellectually and spiritually.

All full-time (12 credit hours or more during the regular school term) students are required to live on campus if at the beginning of the academic year:
- Have completed less than 56 credit hours
- Are not living with a parent/guardian within 40 miles
- Are a freshman or sophomore receiving an athletic scholarship, regardless of home address.
Exemption from Residency Requirement
All students who have earned less than 56 credits at the beginning of the year and feel they meet the requirements to live with a parent/guardian must complete a Housing Exemption Form and be approved to live off campus. Click here to learn more about the housing exemption policies.
Request for Release from Contract
