Well hello out there!!! I hope everyone is having a great Christmas Break and really enjoying about six weeks of having ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do once they wake up in the morning, well except for those who are like me and still have to work, but at least I am enjoying not having to get up in the morning and go to classJ
My Christmas was good, I got to go home and see a lot of family that I hadn’t seen for a while. It was so crazy too because a lot of them had no idea that this upcoming semester would be my last and that in May I will officially be a COLLEGE GRADUATE!!!!! I did let them know though, that just because I will be a graduate doesn’t mean that I’ll be any closer to my goal of someday being rich, so they have about five months to save their paychecks so I can have a great post graduation opening all my gifts lol
I really started off my New Year with a bang let me tell you, it’s officially over guys….I really outdid myself with this one L Maybe there will be more about that later, I doubt it though!!! Let’s just say Goodbye
Now how about them STEELERS!!!! You can’t say that I didn’t warn you about what they were gonna do….Now we have two more games and then we will be at where we started the season wanting to go….The SUPERBOWL!!! But just getting there isn’t enough, we need to win that bad boy and dog-gonet (Check the spelling on that one) we’re gonna do it! Big-ups to James Harrison for winning that Defensive MVP award! He is a proud member of the Steelers for those that don’t know! The Buckeyes play tonight, it should be a good game ONLY if Ohio State keeps Colt McCoy off the field and the only way they can do that is to give Beans the ball and let him run wild on the Longhorns D!!! We’ll see what happens!!!

So I must say that whoever came up with the idea of sleeping in is a freakin’ genius because this is GREAT!!! Whoever thought you could feel so refreshed waking up at like 11:30-11:45am everyday?!? If I could find a job that starts after that time, then you could bet your last dollar that would be the one I WOULD be the first to sign up for it!
So I got my final grades for this semester and except for one grade everything was pretty much what I expected…I mean there wasn’t any real doubt in my mind that I wouldn’t get exceptional grades but I think compared to the rest of the ODU community I’m in the upper 5 PERCENTILE!!! Well I wouldn’t say all that but I did get passing grades in every class so maybe Santa will take note and bless me with a very VERY Merry Christmas.
My Steelers took care of business again yesterday. But we have to put that one behind us because we have another big game next week with the Titans, so everybody just buckle your seat beats, sit back, relax and enjoy two good teams in action!!!!! I KNOW who better win though!!!!! The Cavs lost their streak of 11 straight games, but they are still looking like one of the top teams in the East so we’ll see in a few weeks when they take on the Celtics again!!!!
Well it’s time for me to go and put in some man hours at the job site…Be Cool, Be Safe but have a GREAT HOLIDAY and don’t do anything I WOULDN’T do!!!

So finals week is currently upon us and I am sorry that I have to rub it in but as of 9:20am Monday December 8, 2008 I am officially on Christmas Break and done with the first semester of my senior year….O YEAH!!!!! I have to honestly say that it was a tough journey and often times somewhat discouraging but I stuck with it and made it to all my 8am classes, I was just a couple minutes late for a few of them!
So I got some startling news last night….There is this car that I’ve only been wanting for the past 2 years, it’s a car I’ve told my mother repeatedly that I wanted, I’ve done price quotes for it, and now that I paid a big chunk of fines that I owed the Columbus BMV I had begun to save for future payments for the car only to have my roommate pull up at the house WITH THE CAR that I wanted!!!!! Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for him because I know what he’s gone through with his previous car and I know he’s working a good job and deserved some new wheels but C’MON MAN the same car though??? The sad part about it is that now I don’t think I want it anymore after envisioning myself rollin’ down the street styling and profiling in my CHEVY IMAPALA!!!!
My Steelers took care of business again last night against the so called AMERICA’S TEAM in the Dallas Cowboys! It was probably one of the best games I’ve watched the Steelers play in a while and it really showcased the great defense that we have. It also showed that if the offense can’t get it together a little more consistently the defense will still be there to back them up! I got to stop by the ODU women’s basketball game this past Friday, they looked pretty good in their win…I did notice that they rely heavily on the outside shot specifically the 3-ball, which can have its advantages and disadvantages but hey as long as your winning who cares right? The Buckeyes football team drew the Texas Longhorns in yet another Fiesta Bowl but this, like the past, should be a great game if both teams SHOW UP!!!
Well I’m going to close here wishing everyone good lick with their respective finals, I hope everyone has a safe trip home to be with their families during the break, and remember to read over break to keep your brain in SCHOOL MODE!!!!

I can honestly say I probably had a lot to do with the title of this week’s blog! All the great food I got to eat made the trip home very worth it, except I had to leave my other half in Columbus which SUCKED but it turned out ok because we kept in constant contact with each other, something I’m sure she would think was never possible! My family and friends were happy to see me since I hadn’t been home for a couple months and I was happy to see them as well. My trips home always get me re-focused on the reason I am down here and not there and it keeps me on my grind of finishing school and getting a GREAT job with LOTS of pay raises!!!
Let’s talk about those PITTSBURGH STEELERS!!!! Are they great or what? We have a big game next week against the Cowboys which should be a great game. The college football season is coming to an endL!!! This is my favorite time of the year because I love watching football, almost as much as I like to play it and it’s going to be coming to an end soon.
This week will be a busy week for me getting ready for finals and having to prepare for all the sleeping in I’m gonna get to do during Christmas break, I CAN’T wait!
