Hi Readers,

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Holiday! I know I had a really good Christmas. I spent my Christmas hanging out with my family and spending time with Joe’s family. I had an awesome New Years with my friends! I am very excited for the New Year because I know 09 is going to bring great things. In 2009 I will be graduating, moving, wedding planning and starting a new job!

Over break I have been working at ODU. This has been such a wonderful experience. I have been planning Refresh which is our spring semester orientation for freshmen. I have also been tutoring a lot of break

I am ready to start classes again because this means I’ll be one step closer to graduation. I am all done with my education classes for my major. Next semester I will be taking 2 reading endorsement classes and some general education classes. It is going to take me awhile to get use to going to class after a semester of student teaching.

In my last blog I talked about how I got engaged in December. Well this weekend a couple of my bridesmaids and I when to the bridal show at Vets. This was just an overwhelming experience. I was able to get a lot of information as well as ideas for my wedding.

I also want to use this blog to post some pictures of the fun stuff I’ve done over break!

 Hello Readers:

So this weekend was very exciting. I got engaged on Saturday and I’m so excited! I had no idea that our fun day that Joe planned all by himself would be so excited and memorable! He planned the whole day and wouldn’t tell me what we were doing until he picked me up! We went out for lunch and then took a walk in the park. After the walk in the park he proposed and gave me a build-a-bear! I was so excited and yes I cried!

Then after the park we headed to zoo lights and got coffee on the way! It was the perfect night for the zoo and the lights were so pretty. To top off the prefect night we went to dinner at the ocean club! Talk about YUMMY food! I had one of the best days ever.

That night I was calling and texting friends and family. Everyone was so excited for us! Then on Sunday we had a family gathering and I got to show my extended family my ring! Overall this was such a wonderful weekend! I am so excited to start wedding planning! My best friend already bought me a wedding planning book! J

Well that’s all I have for now till next time! I promise I will add pictures next time!

Snow! Snow!

Hello Readers,

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! On Friday I went and saw Madagascar 2 with Joe. I was surprised with how funny this movie was. I thought it was much better than the first Madagascar. After the movie we decided to do a little shopping and topped the night off with Star-Bucks. YUM!

The snow this weekend was wonderful but it did interfere with my plans to go ice-skating. Luckily we were able to reschedule ice-skating to the weekend before Christmas.

I wasn’t brave enough to drive on Saturday. Joe was nice enough to come pick me up (this was before we decided to cancel ice-skating). After we canceled ice-skating we decided to make Chex-Mix and pizza. The snow forced us to have the prefect lazy Saturday.

Then on Sunday I did a little Christmas shopping. I spent most of the day making a blanket for Julie (Joe’s dog). It’s so cute; I put her name on it with a paw print.

I’m all finished with school which is an awesome feeling and now I am just working till spring semester starts.  I am excited for a relaxing break with friends and family. I am excited for Thursday because I get to have lunch with my old roommate.  I want to go to Zoolights on Saturday depending on the weather! On Friday I have a Holiday party and then on Sunday my Aunt is having her Graduation party.

Well that’s all I have for now! Have a wonderful week!

What a Great Week!

Hello Readers:

It has been a wonderful week off spending time with friends and family. I was lucky to get to enjoy two Thanksgivings on Thursday (my family’s and Joe’s family’s dinner). To top off a wonderful Thanksgiving my family and Joe and I went and saw Four Christmases. It was so funny and I recommend it for anyone who is looking for some holiday humor.

Surprisingly, I did not venture out to the stores on black-Friday. Instead I decided to go out to lunch with Joe and then rent movies to continue the lazy long weekend. I was asked to baby/ house sit on Saturday night for a former co-work which was great because I was able to make some extra money to buy gifts for my family. Also it forced me to work on my presentation and I was able to get most of it done!

Then for the first time in a long time I was able to sleep in on Sunday. I’m thinking it’s because I was house sitting till 3am and was too tried to wake up early. I spent most of my time working on making note cards for my presentation. Then Joe came over so we could go to dinner and I made him listen to my presentation. Surprisingly I talked for 30 minutes! I was rambling so much that I started to bore myself! HA!

Well to sum it up this was just a wonderful week off and I will be officially on winter break after tonight! I’m excited that I get and extra long break this year! I am also super excited for the up coming holidays! This coming weekend my friends and I are going to ice skating.  I haven’t been ice skating since I was in grade school!

Well till next time! I hope everyone has a wonderful week and happy shopping!
