Welcome from Academic Affairs

At Ohio Dominican, academics are the heart of everything we do. Institutions of higher learning exist to provide education for their students, and that education starts in the classroom. It continues, of course, on athletic fields and in residence halls, in rehearsals and clubs, in the library and the lab, but it begins with the relationships between students and their instructors.
Our mission is grounded in our identity as a Catholic and Dominican liberal arts institution. The University’s motto — To contemplate truth and share the fruits of that contemplation with others — serves as our guiding principle of teaching and learning, and seven learning outcomes identify our expectations for what students will be able to be and do as Ohio Dominican graduates. Led by a talented faculty dedicated to excellence in teaching and committed to helping students learn, our student engagement model focuses on serving the whole student through personal attention and assistance in collaboration with the Office of Student Development.
We offer academic programs at the associate, baccalaureate and masters degree levels through three schools: undergraduate, graduate and continuing studies. Academic affairs units that support quality teaching and learning include the Office of the Registrar, Spangler Library, the Academic Advising Center, the Academic Resource Center, the Center for Instructional Technology and eLearning, the Office of Program Articulation and the Office of Institutional Research.
We invite you to explore our programs and resources. The Office of Academic Affairs serves both students and faculty. Our priority is helping students learn.
