The Center for Dominican Studies serves as a resource for those interested in learning more about Dominican education, the Dominican charism, the history of Ohio Dominican University and its mission and values. To fulfill its mission, the Center for Dominican Studies will sponsor and host a
variety of programs and services for the students, faculty, staff and alumni/ae of

Ohio Dominican University has joined with The Graham School to launch an experiential Early College High School that will significantly improve college success for young people in Central Ohio.
The Charles School at Ohio Dominican University, a new public charter high school, opened in the Fall of 2007 on campus. The school is part of a nationwide network of Early College High Schools initiated through funds from The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and other supporting organizations. The Charles School is open to all Ohio students entering the 9th grade. A target population of the school will be students who have a desire to go to college and would be the first in their family to do so.
Students have the opportunity to graduate with a high school diploma and up to 62 hours of college credit and/or an associate’s degree, at no cost to the student. The Charles School curriculum is enriched by extensive technology and online support in all aspects of teaching and learning.

The Conway Family Business Center, located on the campus of Ohio Dominican University, is a non- profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing education, resources and information for family owned businesses in Central Ohio. Understanding family-owned businesses have issues and challenges that are different from those of publicly traded companies, the Family Business Center helps owners, non-family executives and family members understand the complexities of their relationships and their working environments, celebrate their successes and plan for the future of their family business including transferring the business to the next generation. The Center offers Educational Programs which are open to the public, Peer Group Meetings and Roundtable Discussions for its members, Entrepreneurship and Family Business Courses at ODU, as well as the Annual Family Business Awards Ceremony. Ohio Business Week (OBW) is an exciting weeklong summer program that gives eligible high school students from around the state a unique, hands-on experience with business and entrepreneurship. Students learn directly from the pros how to establish and run their own company. Hosted on a college campus, students are also able to experience what campus life is like and lay the groundwork for a successful future. Ohio Business Week is a program of the Ohio Business Week Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preparing Ohio's high school students for success in the American free enterprise system while promoting leadership, integrity and entrepreneurship. ODU "adopted" its neighborhood - the 43219 zip code - to make a difference in the lives of young people and their families through mentoring and tutoring opportunities. These programs provide unique opportunities for ODU students to get involved in the community.
Village to Child is a year-round program designed to raise the academic achievement of middle and high school students who live in the neighborhoods which surround the college campus. During the summer, Village to Child invites students to the campus to participate in programs focused on science, reading, math, the arts, and technology. During the school year, students come to ODU 1-3 days per week to receive tutoring, mentoring, and cultural enrichment. College students are recruited in the fall to serve as mentors and tutors.
