Dominican Life of the Mind Lecture Series
Ohio Dominican's Life of the Mind Series provides occasions for the
community to gather to reflect upon the ideas and events that shape our culture.
Sponsored by the Center for Dominican Studies, the series features artists,
musicians, intellectuals, and critics who contribute to the life of the mind.
The Life of the Mind Series is free and open to the public, but seating
is limited. Sansbury Hall and the Spangler Learning Center are on Ohio Dominican
University's main campus, 1216 Sunbury Road, Columbus.

Featuring: Margaret Ormond, OP.
Margaret Ormond, OP, served as the first International Coordinator of Dominican Sisters International for nine years. She is a member of the Dominican Sisters of Saint Mary of the Springs, Columbus, Ohio and was former Prioress General of her congregation. She also worked in formation and education. Margaret has a background in theology an STL from the Angelicum University in Rome, Italy.

Scott Steinkerchner, OP is a Dominican of the Central Province of the Order of Preachers. A Fulbright Scholar, Fr. Steinkerchner holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Coop, University of Akron, an M. A. in Theology and M.Div. from Aquinas Institute, St. Louis, Missouri and a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Boston College. He currently serves as visiting professor of Inter-religious Theology at Aquinas Institute and is the Promoter General for the Internet for the Dominican Order.

Mary O’Driscoll, OP, a Cabra, Ireland Dominican, is an authority on the teaching of Catherine of Siena, who was in fact the topic of her doctoral work. She has written several books and articles on Catherine and other toics of great interest. Besides teaching at the Angelicum University in Rome, Italy, she spends a great deal of time as an invited lecturer at school and seminaries in the United States and abroad.
